Evolution

It's something that actually hit me last night. You know when you meet people that you haven't seen in a very, very long time and you just sit back and take all that's going on in? Like, you just look at every individual person for some time and just, calculate what has changed? I had that situation yesterday, which was quite weird and surreal. And yet, strange but familiar. Some people don't chance, regardless of what's going on or what they go through, as if it's some sort of sense of rebellion from growing up or even maturing. Some people loose weight, got to the guy, work, school or any of the above. And yet, some people just....don't change at all. Literally, at all. And if anything, they degrade or even fall behind. Now, I am not one to judge. I am not perfect, not am I saying that I don't have my own faults. Maybe I am a bit too down to earth, good hearted or I see things from a too much of a innocent perspective. I have honestly changed and gr...

The floating adapter

Everyone belongs to a specific group/category. We have that click of friends that we fit in with and people recognise who are because they know who we hang out with. I have experienced this myself over the years, though now I don't really belong to any social group. Maybe it's me becoming more mature or I've gotten so use to adapting to what I'm presented with that I have the capability of blending in with whatever group I'm with. Or maybe I just have gotten use to constant change of the groups I've had over the years. But me, now, personally, I feel like I don't belong in any group. It could be it's cause I'm so different from everyone else mentality or because I feel that I deserve much better and want to stand out. Sadly, I'm not sure which it is or what it could be :/ All that I know and that I've noticed is that in any group I do hang/go out with, I do stand out. Thinking about it actually makes me giggle. In most groups I hang with, ...

Stereotyping

Let me just draw a simple picture: You go anywhere and you meet 2 people, one smartly dressed and another more relaxed/casually dressed. Which is better? Which is more intelligent? Who of them is best? In your ever changing world, women are perhaps the most harshly judged. Wear something too short, you're a slut, wear something too nice, you're a snob. It something that really bugs me personally. People are judged by everything they do regardless if it's good or bad. Ironically and most importantly of all, most women feel comfortable in what they wear. I have meet people who work in every shade of life and meeting them outside of their work place brings out the real them. Some actually do dress up in hoddies, dresses or short skirts. If their comfortable like that, so what, good for them. However, their actions to an outsider are sadly further subjective to stereotyping. Somehow, you are judged by what the world, media and the people around you think of you. You are ins...

Don't you hate it when.....

Don't you just hate it when people don't say yes or no and just leave you hanging? Furthermore, you make your own plans and they make you re gret them because they make you feel like you're missing out, when all you ever wanted was just a straight answer? Please click the link. Standing Out

Why be part of the crowd? People find confidence when they are surrounded by people that have the same ideal, views, thoughts, etc like each other. It happens with both you and me: you hang around people who are like you or have the same interests as you. Although like me, you probably have that one friend who does things his way, particularly dresses up his way. Personally, I feel that I do stand out. I go out in a hoddie cause I feel comfortable that way, even though I'm surrounded by people dressed in shirts. I don't mind or care. It you're constable in your shirt, then so be it, no one had any right to judge. However, when you dress up just to be part of something, then to me it's ironic. People sacrifice comfort just to fit in, because like most things in life that stand out get stomped down.  While I was out yesterday, I had a laugh. Everyone was dressed the same. Obviously there were different shades, colours and prints and so on and so forth, but from my p...

Perhaps it's a sense of maturity?

I believe that the older you get, the more understanding and accepting of things you become, which I believe can also be viewed as life experience. I seam to have cir-cum to this myself, especially today. I gave back a bracelet to someone I cared about. I never really had the heart to throw it away or to get rid of it, but I keeps it hidden in a drawer of mine. I guess I felt that it wasn't my place or my choice to throw it away, being that it had a great deal of sentimental value. I have no idea whether is has been delivered or not or whether she is grateful of it....that still has to be seen. I also confronted a loved one of mine. A small/short quarrel of sorts. But within it, there was change. Usually people just bow down to decision/ excuses or better yet bottle them in. Moreover, we become puppets to them. I guess we all reach a time in our lives where we confront our fears and problems head on. In my case, it wasn't to prove that I'm a gentlemen or that I'm a...

Jingle Bells

It's the season to be jolly, tralalalala, lalalala....we're heard this over and over again many times before along with countless blessings of Happy New Years. A time to kick back after extravagant spending, relax, surround yourself with family and loved ones and reflect on oneself. Perhaps it's cause I have gotten use to work during these festivities, so it's a routine to me, that most best wishes on such festivities rarely seam to have any significant to me. Ether way, the joy of such festivities only comes when I consider that I don't have to go to school for 2 weeks, giving me some time to catch up on certain things and reflect on myself and my performance over the year. It could be that I have gotten into the habit of doing this, but I personally reflect deeply on myself and begin to write my own list of things I want to do in the coming year, which usually consists of ether new things I want to do/try or an addition to things I haven't done last year.  I...
